HIE I&EH Location Assistant - Home
Welcome to the 'location assistant' of HIE Inverness and East Highland, one of the area offices of Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the region's economic development agency.
Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch & Strathspey, and East Ross-shire represents one of the fastest growing regional areas in the UK, with many new businesses and people attracted here each year. HIE I&EH serves an enlarged area with
a population of around 136,500 people, covering an area from Tain in the north to Dalwhinnie in the south,
Auldearn in the east to Fort Augustus in the west. To aid those wanting to move to the area, we have created this 'location assistant'.
How it works: the assistant enables access to a huge number of websites established by organisations and companies in the area, providing a wealth of information on what is available to those who live in this thriving part of the world.
To find out about jobs, property, education, health, leisure and a variety of other information which is key to locating in the area, then click on any of the subjects in the menu.
Once you are into the assistant, you will see two drop-down lists in the top bar; simply click on either and scroll to the sites you want to visit. You can jump from subject to subject and site to site. If you wish to view a site in its own window, click the NEW WINDOW button below the LEC's logo.
