Nairn

Just sixteen miles east of Inverness lies the very popular seaside town of Nairn. It attracts visitors from around the world, not least because of its two 18-hole championship golf courses.
Resting next to the waters of the Moray Firth, Nairn has some beautiful beaches which are frequented by locals and tourists alike. Several vantage points can even provide sightings of dolphins which belong to one of only two dolphin colonies in the UK.
Nairn has more to offer than enjoyable leisure pursuits and is an ideal place for work. It is situated on the main rail and road routes between Aberdeen and Inverness with commuting to the latter a simple and regular occurrence.
The town also offers easy access to Inverness Airport with its flights to Glasgow, London and Manchester, and other destinations.
For those wishing to pursue educational development, Nairn can present plenty of opportunities due to its good schools and the close proximity of Inverness and Moray Colleges, two of the biggest members of the UHI Millennium Institute, the proposed University of the Highlands and Islands.
The local Balmakeith Business Park is a base for key businesses while the whole Inverness and Nairn region is witnessing burgeoning economic growth, with companies attracted into the area on a regular basis.
Nairn continues to look to the future with excitement and has much to commend it. The Nairn Initiative, supported by HIE Inverness and East Highland, and other key strategic organisations, continues to promote the town's attractions which promise to entice more people and businesses to the area.
